My name is Maddy O’Donnell and I’m the Maddy of Maddy’s Bakeshop. I got into baking by googling 'therapeutic activities' when my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer while I was working a stressful job in music pr in NYC. It turned out that I loved my therapeutic activity so much that it became my career! I moved to Seattle right before the pandemic & covid made me end my very short stint of pastry school so I decided to teach myself all of the baked goods that interested me. When I’m not baking, I’m probably drinking a glass of wine & watching Bravo in the tub or with my two cats, Noodle and Gus, and husband, Andrew.

Maddy’s Bakeshop is a bakery specializing in laminated pastries and floral cakes with local and seasonal ingredients based in Seattle, Washington. We are at the Ballard Farmers Market Year Round and at our Brick and Mortar in Lower Queen Anne Fridays-Sundays.
