My name is Maddy O’Donnell and I’m the Maddy of Maddy’s Bakeshop. I started taking baking seriously in 2019 when I was working at a music PR firm in NYC and the stress from work/life/the city made me start baking to calm down. I moved to Seattle right before the pandemic & covid made me end my very short stint of pastry school so I decided to teach myself all of the baked goods that interested me. When I’m not baking, I’m probably drinking a glass of wine, watching Bravo & knitting with my two cats, Noodle and Gus, and partner, Andrew.

Maddy’s Bakeshop is a microbakery specializing in laminated pastries and floral cakes with local and seasonal ingredients based in Seattle, Washington. Having been surrounded by people with allergies, I wanted to make cost-friendly treats and options for people unable to consume gluten, animal products, nuts, sesame, etc so there will always be some allergen-friendly options at my pop ups and on my menus.

You can always get my pastries fridays & saturdays at MoRA, dessert on weekends at Percy’s and go to my pop ups or classes and say hi :-)
